Privacy policy
Rempart collects nothing.
Effective October 30, 2026
Rempart is a network monitor and firewall for the Mac, made by Nanostack. This policy explains what Rempart does with information.
What Rempart collects
Nothing. Rempart has no account, no analytics and no servers of ours. It doesn't collect, send, share or sell personal information.
What stays on your Mac
To show and filter connections, Rempart records which apps connect, to which servers, when, and how much data they exchange. It keeps these records, your rules and your settings only on your Mac, for as long as you choose in the app. Deleting Rempart deletes them.
Server locations
Rempart finds where servers are with a database inside the app. It never sends an address anywhere to look it up.
Wi-Fi network name
If you turn on profile switching by network, Rempart reads the name of your Wi-Fi network, which macOS treats as location, to choose your profile. The name stays on your Mac.
Connections Rempart makes
- Blocklists you turn on are downloaded from their publishers, who see your IP address as for any download.
- The map shows tiles from Apple Maps, under Apple's privacy policy.
- Purchases go through the App Store. We receive no payment details.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts.
Children
Rempart isn't directed at children and collects no information from anyone.
